Full Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Commercial Truck Driver to operate large commercial vehicles for the transport of goods and materials over short or long distances. The ideal candidate must hold a current DOT medical card. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle condition, and complying with all DOT regulations and company policies. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work varying hours (early morning or late at night).
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy trucks, in a safe manner.
Transport freight to assigned locations following designated routes and schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain a valid DOT medical card and comply with all FMCSA safety regulations.
Load and unload cargo when necessary, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
Keep accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details using our electronic logging device (ELD).
Report any accidents, mechanical issues, or delays promptly.
Ensure vehicles are kept clean, serviced, and maintained in good condition.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws
Requirements:
Current and valid DOT medical card.
Proven experience operating heavy trucks or tractor-trailers.
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to operate a forklift
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week (hours will vary depending on delivery schedule and could be early morning or late at night)
