We're looking for a Domestic Logistics Associate who's ready to take ownership of our freight operations from port to customer and grow with a team that values initiative, problem-solving, and getting things done. What you'll be doing
- Coordinate FTL, LTL, and drayage shipments from port terminals to warehouse and end customers
- Build and manage relationships with OTR carriers to ensure consistent lane performance
- Negotiate freight rates across FTL, LCL, and 3PL warehouse agreements
- Proactively secure capacity across North American lanes before it's needed
- Identify smarter, more cost-effective routing and carrier solutions on an ongoing basis
- Resolve freight disputes and keep shipments moving, calmly and professionally
- Collaborate closely with the domestic traffic team on day-to-day execution
What we're looking for
You don't need to check every box, but here's what will set you up for success:
- Experience in domestic freight, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Familiarity with drayage, port terminals, and intermodal freight
- Comfortable negotiating rates and managing carrier relationships
- A calm, solutions-first mindset when things don't go as planned
- Strong communicator who can work across carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Background in food ingredients or ag commodities is a welcome bonus, not a requirement
