Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Domestic Freight Operations Specialist to lead and optimize our inbound and outbound freight shipping processes within our supply chain network. This role is vital in ensuring seamless transportation and efficient warehouse distribution. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders in achieving the best transportation options for our customers. The position hours are from 12:00pm to 9:00pm.
Duties
- Manage end-to-end domestic freight logistics, including booking & tracking shipments along with occasional warehouse shipping & receiving activities.
- Quote customers on domestic shipments.
- Practice safety standards during manual handling operations such as forklift use and materials.
- Proven experience in supply chain operations with a focus on freight logistics.
- Strong data skills utilizing Excel (including pivot tables).
- Familiarity with warehouse experience including inventory management systems (WMS/ERP), shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling equipment like forklifts.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management experience, pricing strategies, demand planning, and trade compliance regulations.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and suppliers concerning pricing.
- Certifications related to forklift operation or warehouse safety are preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
