The Role

We are looking for a Dock Supervisor / Leading Hand for our Innisfail depot.

This role will see you supervising a team up to 5 and you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth management of our warehouse cross dock operations.

A dayshift position commencing 8.30am Monday – Friday with optional weekend shifts.

Primary Duties Of The Role Include

Supervision of dock personnel activities across the dock both inwards & outbound.

Assisting with the receiving, storing, staging, and loading of all stock in & out.

Ensure correct loading & unloading techniques are performed to protect product from damage.

Ensure all loading & unloading is in accordance with COR requirements & legislation.

Delivering effective communications to employees (toolbox talks, training, team meetings)

Manual loading and unloading as required.

Demonstrating safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.

Lead staff hands on and by example.

Performing stock takes as required.

Primarily working with dry, fresh, refrigerated and frozen freight

About You

To be successful for this role applicant must have:

Prior experience in a similar supervisory role ideally in a docking / warehouse environment.

Current & valid Forklift licence

Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.

Prior experience with loading and unloading of freight, ideally perishable goods.

Excellent planning & organisational skills with good attention to detail

Inventory management.

Flexibility, resilience with the ability to work with ever changing priorities.

Solid computer skills

Well-developed communication skills

To be successful for this role applicants must:

Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
