POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Coordinate short/mid-term demand (0 to 3 week window) to match fleet requirements
Coordinate empty order fulfillment to meet forecasts
Communicate directly with customers (priorities/contingencies) up to the traffic manager level
Develop action plans for dwelling equipment to meet KPI (key performance indicator) requirements
Communicate pipeline conditions to both internal and external customers
Track supplementary/ancillary service charges consistent with products and services sold
Monitor equipment flows in relation to trip plans and make suggestions on improvement
Enter all data in timely manner into railcar/order management/demand management systems and ensures the integrity of said data
Manage and track various customer loading schedules and reports on progress and variances
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
University degree or post-secondary diploma preferred or equivalent industry knowledge
Experience with CPKC along with geographic/operating systems/commercial knowledge would be an asset
Prior transportation experience with supply chain and logistics would be an asset
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Attention to detail skills
Strong communication for both verbal and written
Leadership skills and ability to function as part of a team
Advanced level of computing skills with the ability to learn new systems and adapt
Able to deal with emergent situations on a continuous basis
Ability to provide weekend coverage
