Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations of the distribution center including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and shipping.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and company policies.
Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of warehouse employees.
Monitor KPIs and prepare reports on operational performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies or Six Sigma practices.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, transportation, customer service) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Ensure effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in distribution or warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and logistics systems.
Proficiency in WMS and MS Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
