We are currently recruiting a professional and detail-oriented team member to join our growing logistics operations team at our Kokomo location.
Our Operations Team members work in a fast-paced environment that is at the hub of activity in our business.
The ideal candidate will be able to
Obtain detailed dispatch specifications from customers
Perform load planning
Coordinate load assignments
Handle administrative paperwork
Perform accurate and complete data entry
Exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks
Make on-the-spot decisions and be comfortable in a Just-In-Time delivery environment
Communicate professionally and effectively with drivers, coworkers, customers, vendors, etc….face-to-face and over the phone
Monitor and communicate tractor/trailer maintenance needs
Handle payroll tasks when needed
Job Requirements
Professional and detail-oriented dispatch experience/formal training preferred, will consider familiarity in trucking industry, automotive freight a plus
Proficient in computers
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task
High level of self-motivation with ability to work under minimal supervision
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Able to follow and adhere to procedures and corporate policies
High school diploma required
