Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of freight, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing routes using various technologies. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule transportation of freight to ensure timely deliveries.
Utilize GPS, McLeod and Samsara systems to optimize routes and monitor vehicle locations.
Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Input data accurately into our system for tracking shipments and maintaining records.
Assist in transportation planning by analyzing supply chain logistics to improve efficiency.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies during transportation operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within the transportation industry is preferred.
Familiarity with GPS technology, Samsara, McLeod Management, and other relevant software is a plus.
Strong phone etiquette with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of freight operations and supply chain management principles is advantageous.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
