Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of freight and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various dispatching technologies and have a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.
Duties
Coordinate and schedule transportation for freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
Monitor fleet operations, including vehicle location and status, to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
Utilize dispatching software and tools.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including data entry into relevant systems.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders via phone systems to provide updates and resolve issues.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and address any logistical challenges.
Analyze geographic information systems (GIS) data to enhance route planning and decision-making.
Skills
Proficient in dispatching processes with experience in fleet management.
Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations is a plus.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of freight operations and supply chain principles is essential.
Experience using phone systems for efficient communication within the dispatch team.

Pay: $35,000.00 – $42,000.00 per year
