Full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm CENTRAL STANDARD TIME USA Monday to Friday

Our client company is based in Chicago, United States. It’s a growing brokerage and asset-based truck company, with 16 years of successful business operations and a 200+ vehicle fleet across the USA.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate pricing, and book loads with customers
- Dispatch and schedule trucks
- Create optimal pickup and delivery routes
- Update the transportation management system (TMS) with accurate driver ETA and arrival times
- Optimize the utilization of drivers and equipment for maximum efficiency
- Coordinate daily delivery and pick-up activities
- Communicate and coordinate with drivers and customers on load information
- Proactively engage with Customer Representatives regarding detentions, late/early arrivals, lumpers, stop-offs, etc.
- Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates with vendors and customers
- Coordinate maintenance and schedule roadside service for driver breakdowns
- Obtain necessary documents and permits for shipping chemicals, livestock, oversize loads, etc.
- Provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of dispatch experience in a trucking/logistics firm
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with dock operations
- Excellent decision-making ability and judgment
- Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing stress
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
- English is a must; Spanish or Russian is a plus.
