Driver Leadership
Coordinate loads with Drivers/Trucks
Responsible for power unit assigned to fleet.
Responsible for covering outbound El Paso freight provided by load planner
Dispatch Drivers on preplanned loads and complete all corresponding paperwork associated with load.
Fuel and route drivers while promoting the safety of drivers.
Pre-Plan fuel with each driver prior to leaving home terminal.
Communicate with drivers through phone calls, people net, etc….
Monitor Driver to ensure on-time delivery
Support Driver with needs to ensure load is delivered safety and on time
Communication
Communicate Driver Work Schedule to a driver and make sure drivers have a clear understanding of schedule and expectations.
Communicate issues with supporting departments regarding breakdowns, safety issues, driver issues, etc…
Communicate with shop and safety regarding any delay on load departure. (i.e. equipment issues, safety hold, etc…)
Responsibilities
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company and customer requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
