Role Description The Dispatch Rider role at APxpress Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Nigeria. The Dispatch Rider is responsible for picking up and delivering packages to customers, following assigned routes and schedules, and ensuring all items are handled safely and securely. Daily tasks include confirming delivery details, maintaining regular communication with the dispatch office, and obtaining proof of delivery where required. The role also involves keeping the motorcycle or delivery vehicle in good working condition, reporting any incidents or delays, and providing courteous, professional service to customers. The Dispatch Rider must adhere to traffic regulations, company safety policies, and delivery procedures to ensure timely and accurate service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong road navigation and route planning skills, with a good understanding of local traffic rules and regulations.
- Candidates should possess reliable time management and organizational skills to handle multiple deliveries and meet deadlines.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients and the dispatch team.
- Candidates should possess basic record-keeping skills for documenting deliveries, payments, and received items.
- Valid motorcycle or relevant vehicle license, with a clean driving record, is required.
- Previous experience as a dispatch rider or in a logistics/delivery role is an advantage.
- Ability to read maps or use GPS applications and follow delivery instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including in varying weather conditions.
- Trustworthy, safety-conscious, and able to comply with company policies and procedures.
