Must be able to pivot attention to urgent situations as they arise, while overseeing the dispatch and logistics for our trucking team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the heavy haul trucking team (drivers, dispatchers, equipment operators) to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch, routing and load‑planning to meet customer delivery commitments and make best use of fleet assets.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams/vendors to keep trucks and trailers in safe, serviceable condition—minimize downtime.
- Hire, train and develop driver/dispatch personnel; foster a strong safety culture and high-performance standards across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of heavy civil / aggregates‑industry trucking or heavy haul fleet management experience.
- Proven experience managing drivers, dispatchers and heavy equipment/truck operations in a construction or aggregates environment.
- Excellent leadership and team‑management skills. Ability to motivate, train, and mentor staff in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coordinating across departments (logistics, sales, operations) and with external vendors.
Compensation
- $110K – $130K annual salary, plus bonus
