Fairchild Freight is seeking an experienced Director of Fleet Operations to lead our transportation division with a focus on safety, compliance, operational excellence, and team development. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing a growing fleet, a dynamic team, and driving strategic initiatives that align with company goals.
In this role, you will:
Lead driver performance, recruitment, and retention efforts
Oversee compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
Optimize fleet utilization, maintenance, and cost-efficiency
Manage key personnel across safety, recruiting, driver management, and equipment administration
Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Who You Are:
A seasoned transportation professional with:
7+ years in fleet or transportation leadership
In-depth knowledge of federal compliance standards and safety programs
A track record of building and leading high-performing teams
Strong operational, analytical, and leadership skills
A hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to fleet challenges
