A leading global logistics provider is looking to appoint a Business Development Director to drive growth within the aerospace and defence sector across Europe, with a focus on air and ocean freight.
This is a front-line commercial role, focused on securing new business within complex, time-critical and highly regulated supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business across the aerospace & defence sector within air and ocean freight
- Build and develop relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and defence organisations
- Lead RFQs, pricing and commercial negotiations
- Work closely with operations teams to deliver tailored, time-critical logistics solutions
- Develop pipeline and convert opportunities across key European markets
Profile
- Proven track record in winning new business within air and ocean freight
- Experience working with aerospace & defence customers
- Strong understanding of time-critical, regulated and secure logistics environments
- Existing network across aerospace & defence supply chains (e.g. Airbus, Safran, Thales)
- Commercially driven, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a hunter role
