Job Profile :
The Director of Inventory, Warranty and Program in Columbus, OH holds the responsibility for the efficient and effective management of inventory, warranty of inventory and the proper management of programs to support the US-based fleets and enables business units and functional partners to achieve their objectives. This role entails developing procurement and inventory control models, implementing purchasing and contract management procedures, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and service providers in alignment with Vista Jet (VJA) who is the owner of the aircraft that are managed. The Director of Inventory, warranty and programs collaborates closely with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and inventory management.

General Responsibilities:
Directly responsibility of oversight and development of the Procurement and Materials financial models and budget forecast in alignment with VJA practices.
Responsible for creating and maintaining P&M financial performance against historical data and forecasts which are to align with VJA.
Responsibility for the efficient and effective oversight of programs, scheduled maintenance (SMX) planning and reporting of procurement as well as staging of aircraft parts, materials, and labor for SMX events, and inventory including owned, leased, loaner and consignment spares (“Materials”) to support the US-based Vista America fleets and effectively enable business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives in alignment with VJA.
Responsible for developing procurement and inventory control models to determine demand for procurement and inventory services, including repair services for aircraft rotables and repairs, for the current and projected Vista America fleets and related business units in alignment with VJA practices.
Develop, implement and control purchasing policies, and procedures to ensure fair, equitable, unbiased and competitive contract awards by development of comprehensive statement of work for products, materials, and services in alignment with VJA.
Develop negotiating strategies to ensure required service levels are met while controlling costs and maintaining budget targets, and the resolution of vendor or contractor grievances or claims against suppliers.
Responsible for ensuring the development and application of a systematic approach with procuring and inventory transactions, working closely with the Maintenance Finance Department to ensure a three-way match of the purchase order, receipt of the goods/services and an invoice which matches the PO in conjunction with the buyer organization.
Maintains effective communication within the Procurement and Materials Department, the operation, suppliers and the Vista America business units to include periodic performance reviews with VJA.
Develops the standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize procurement and inventory management efficiency to the operation, which includes, timely PO’s, inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, movement of material, warehousing and control operations.
Ensure close coordination with the MCC and Planning Departments to ensure that materials required for unscheduled and scheduled maintenance events are accounted for from a financial model familiar with VJA.
In conjunction with the Director of Material Services, responsible for reporting the value associated with the logistics for deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures and strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics, manage the freight budget and work with procurement to enhance freight contracts.
Responsible for the inventory tracking system accuracy and controls. Ensure the system and related processes properly record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels to include oversight and reporting the rotable CORE returns and to provide quarterly reports to VJA.
Reports on the Material Services, Planning and Technical Services Departments for SOW and procurement for the repair and return of company owned spares.
Develops and implements tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting of procurement and inventory activities with periodic, or as needed, executive summaries to Vista America and VJA.
Works in close coordination with Human Resources and the Director of Material services to recruit qualified members for the Procurement and Materials Department to create career paths for team members and to provide the support necessary for each team member to attain the agreed goals.
Reports on the activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing Procurement and Materials management services on behalf of Vista America with reports to VJA on a quarterly basis.
Prepare and lead the Procurement and Materials Department in scheduled and short-notice compliance audit, ensuring that all findings are investigated and resolved within the timeframe agreed with the Compliance Department.
Responsible for the development, implementation and auditing of the warranty and program spend for the maintenance division to ensure that contracts are followed and in favor of the company.
Ensure the Procurement and Materials Departments function in an effective and efficient manner.

A solid understanding of aircraft materials storage procedures including storage requirements, storage and shelf-life limitations; repair and modification procedures.
Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing effective inventory management strategies in an airline, cargo or charter operation.
Have as solid understanding of the following materials with respect to the certificate holder’s operation –
Aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations)
The certificate holder’s operations specifications and manuals required by 135.21
Experience with CAMO operations, ideally familiar with Vista Jet processes and key personnel.
Solid understanding of business finance, materials management and aircraft operations.
Ideally a post-secondary diploma or degree in air transport management, aviation management, business or finance.
