Position: Â Diesel Mechanic Heavy/Small Equipment
Diesel and Hydraulic Mechanic experienced working on backhoes, trenchers & bore rigs.
Electrical repair experience is considered a plus.
Candidates must have their own tools.
Must ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines following operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot malfunctions by locating sources of problems through observation and testing instruments.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists and hand and power tools.
Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
CDL Drivers License is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally crawl, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull equipment.
Continuously bend.
Occasionally climb up to 12 feet.
In an 8-hour day, stand about 5 hours and walk about 2 hours.
Occasionally carry loads up to 100 lbs and frequently carry loads up to 74 lbs.
Occasionally lift loads up to 100 lbs and frequently lift loads up to 74 lbs.
Repetitive movement of both feet, simple grasping, fine manipulation, and firm grasping with both hands is necessary.
The position also requires being around moving machinery and exposure to marked changes in temperature/humidity, driving automotive equipment, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
