Airgas is hiring for a Diesel Mechanic in Tucson, AZ.
Compensation and Schedule
$28.00 – 30.00/hour
Quarterly Incentive Bonus
$2000 Driver Referral Bonus (unlimited)
Schedule:
Mon – Friday, 9:00 a.m.
– 5:00 p.m.

Job Description
The primary responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing highway delivery equipment such as hydraulic pumps, transfer pumps, diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, and associated equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, interpret reports and repair orders, communicate with supervisors and operators, and promote safety to minimize future repairs.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in highway equipment maintenance
Valid Driver’s License (regular)
Class A CDL preferred but not required
Experience with hand and power tools; must own tools
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; technical classes preferred
Knowledge of transportation regulations
Class A CDL with Haz Mat and DOT brake certification preferred
Computer literacy, including diagnosis systems and maintenance software
Experience with ABS and DEF systems, cryogenics exposure
