Job Description
The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections.
Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies.
Pick up customer returns and fill out return slips.
Communicate issues or customer needs to management.
Report vehicle issues or accidents immediately.
Ensure vehicles are fueled and secured at day’s end.
Follow clock-in/out policies.
Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling returns as assigned.
Assist customers, serve as cashier, or support merchandising when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
Valid state driver’s license and meet driving eligibility requirements.
Driving record meeting company standards (14/18-point system).
Desired:
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
