Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Support

Title: Delivery/Pick Up Driver/ Warehouse Support
Hours: Full time – Monday through Friday: 8am to 5pm
Compensation: DOE $18-$20 per hour
Education: High School Diploma/GED Required
Operate vehicles, such as trucks, vans, or cars, etc. to transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Assist with loading and unloading freight and items from vehicles.
Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from clients
Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
Abide by all California/State transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
Ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct for shipped and received merchandise.
Conduct and check off inventory for inbound shipments of goods for customers; and
Inspect the trucks to ensure they are clean and serviceable and report any discrepancies to Management.
Ensure the safe, clean, and effective operation of the warehouse.
May operate equipment and machines, such as forklifts, jack pallets, etc.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or management team.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license issued by California; and must have a clean DMV driving record
Special licenses may be required to operate certain equipment and vehicles.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Driver/Warehouse Associate role.
KEY SKILLS SET:
Must have a current and clean DMV driving record.
Must adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, policies and State transportation laws.
Knowledge of San Diego Road systems and traffic patterns.
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, time management; and attention to detail.
Ability to report for work regularly on time and follow instructions.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:
Safe equipment and machine operation, such as forklift, trucks or cars, vehicles.
Working knowledge of warehouse environment.
Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
Able to understand and operate GPS technology and other relevant applications.
