Summary:The Delivery Driver for JH Kelly’s Longview location is responsible for moving materials between our warehouse locations and job sites. The Driver will load and unload our ¾ ton truck and tow trailer or a larger flatbed truck and are expected to complete assignments safely, efficiently, and damage-free. Drivers are also assigned and perform other miscellaneous duties in the warehouses as needed during downtimes to support the business.
The Field Support Team –The Delivery Driver is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport materials/loads between Shops/Jobsites/Suppliers
Load and Unload ¾ ton trucks or flatbed trucks as needed
Perform vehicle inspections pre and post-trip
Additional warehouse/yard duties as needed
Represent FST/Call center at internal operational meetings, project kick-off, and site visits
Promote andlead by exampleteamworkand customer service when interacting with internal and external customers
Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse clean and organized, tracking tools and materials to/from job sites
Perform additional tasks as required
Relationships:
Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts, including shop and field craft personnel.
Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license & clean driving record
Experience operating manual transmission vehicles
Demonstrated history of safe driving habits
Forklift operating experience preferred
Necessary Skills:
Dependable with an excellent attendance history
Self-directed and motivated
Comfortable in afast-paced environment
The ability to work collaboratively and professionally with coworkers
Sense of urgency in work operations
Adaptable to Change
Physical Requirements:The physical requirements described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds daily.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and Distance vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
