Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of items.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license.
Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
Knowledge of freight handling and logistics processes.
Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial for minor vehicle maintenance.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
