- Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Contractor to deliver our morning route in a leased 26ft box truck. This route starts at 4:00 am and normally ends around 11:00 am. This is a Tuesday to Saturday run and you are home everyday! This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of Garr Logistics, delivering packages with enthusiasm and precision.
Duties
- Load, unload, and organize packages in a box truck for daily delivery routes
- Safely operate a box truck with automatic transmission across designated routes
- Load and secure packages using pallet jacks as needed
- Deliver small packages and freight and Tractor and auto parts to customers’ locations, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with recipients
- Follow route driving directions accurately, adjusting as necessary for traffic or road conditions
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience, with a 26ft box truck
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warehouse experience including loading, moving, and heavy lifting tasks
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as a box trucks with automatic transmissions
- Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving, and driving in urban environments
- Valid Class E driver’s license , with a clean driving record and pass a drug test!
