If you are looking to obtain your CDL-Class A license, this job is for you! We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Assistant to join our team in Athens, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the delivery driver in delivering beverages to retail accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver in unloading products from the delivery vehicle
- Daily verify delivery load with company load sheet
- Ensure that all products are properly secured and protected during transportation
- Assist the delivery driver in navigating to the delivery location using GPS or other navigation tools
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering the company products to retail stores in a friendly and professional manner
- Stack retail account shelves with company products daily
- Report any delivery issues or concerns to the delivery driver or supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
- Perform other duties as assigned by the delivery driver or supervisor
- Ensure compliance with all company/retailer policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent prefer
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and goods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during holidays
- Must be able to obtain an Alcohol Permit
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking and driving.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
