Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Semi-Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating semi-trucks (tractor-trailers) and will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently. This position involves driving a dedicated lane route from Ohio to Tennessee, Tennessee to Georgia, and then back to Ohio. As a Semi-Truck Driver, you will ensure that deliveries are made on time while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive semi-trucks (tractor-trailers) along a dedicated lane route from Ohio to Tennessee, Tennessee to Georgia, and then back to Ohio.
Load and unload freight when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the semi-truck to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo details.
Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while operating the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise.
Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicle operations.
Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to designated locations within the dedicated lane route.
Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in driving semi-trucks (tractor-trailers) with knowledge of freight handling and transportation.
Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to semi-truck driving.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks as well as long hours on the road.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
