Position: Dash 8-300 Pilot in Command Firefighting
Serve as a Pilot in Command for aerial firefighting missions in the Dash 8-300. Ensure operational excellence and safety across international firefighting bases.
In this role, you will command the Dash 8-300 fleet on vital firefighting missions. You will set safety standards and make real-time risk-aware decisions while leading a multi-crew operation. Execution of regulatory compliance and thorough pre/post-flight inspections will be essential parts of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Command aerial firefighting and support missions
• Lead comprehensive mission briefings and clear roles
• Plan missions with a focus on compliance and safety
• Coordinate effectively with air attack and maintenance
• Manage emergency procedures per SOPs and regulations
Requirements:
• 1500 flight hours total required
• 500 hours as PIC needed
• 250 hours on Dash 8-300 preferred
• CPL with IR and ME license required
• Must hold a Class 1 medical certification
