Responsibilities:
Customs
Support Hexagon Innovation Process (HIP) Project on new parts on Harmonized System (HS) Code and country of origin classification.
Assess feasibility of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) for new products.
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Support team to drive FTA calculation and the yearly renewal of existing FTA with China, India, Indonesia and Europe-Germany).
Review to ensure HS Code and customs tariff are maintain accurately in SAP (S4 Hana).
Handle special export requirement and provide customs advice to internal customers.
Point of contact to support enquiry pertaining to customs.
Responsible for accuracy of all Distribution Centre Singapore (DCS) import and export permit.
Assist with preparation of customs rulings, audits and projects.
Ensure compliance to customs procedures.
Understand Dangerous Goods Regulations and requirements.
Freight
Streamline and secure freight management on a daily business level.
Responsible for daily business freight management including handling of single and special shipments, organizing pick-up and adhere to the cut-off time, marine insurance claim handling and checking of freight invoices.
Prepare monthly freight reports and statistics.
Participate and contribute to projects in transportation and freight management such as coordinating special shipment and act as binding contract between shipper / external partners.
Provide support / assist in master data updates.
Compliance
Review compliance hold and releasing it in Amber Road.
Support enquiry pertaining to Compliance.
Research on new sanctions or customs regulations.
Familiar with Hexagon compliance policies and processes.
Requirements:
Technical Skills & Competencies
Familiar with customs procedures
Familiar with import and export policies, regulations and procedures
Knowledgeable in application of Free Trade Agreements
Knowledgeable in Incoterms, Harmonized Code and Free Trade Agreement and customs clearance procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Knowledgeable in SAP will be an advantage
Proficiency in Amber Road solutions
A team player and able to work independently under tight schedules
Education
Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years working experience in an import and export control function
