Key Responsibilities:
Verification of all necessary documents for clearing of goods prior submission to customs. Documentation should be compliant as per customs & excise act and respective regulations.
Classifying goods according to tariff coding system.
Input on MNS and send draft of customs declaration for approval and afterwards have documents validated on MNS.
Submit application of import permits, certificates and ensure all permits are obtained prior to arrival of containers and customs clearance. (eg NPPPO, DCCB, MSB, MIC, DVS…).
Ensure proper follow up to ensure a smooth on time clearing.
Respond to queries from Customs, if any.
Will have to handle customs declaration for both Sea / Air formalities.
Ensuring proper coordination for timely delivery.
To comply with all laws, regulations, policies, or any enactments governing import / exports.
