Role Description

This is a highly flexible position offering either full-time or part-time hours, with the opportunity to work from home alongside on-site days at our Tullamarine location.

Because you will be working directly alongside and supported by our current Senior Broker, this is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced professionals and newly licensed brokers looking to build their career in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will handle customs clearance for air and sea imports, ensure complete regulatory compliance, and provide excellent customer service. You will also regularly liaise with clients, border authorities, and other key stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient international trade operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

The Must-Haves (Mandatory):

  • Valid Customs Broker License: Must hold a current individual customs broker license issued by the Department of Home Affairs (Australian Border Force).
  • ICS Access: Possess (or be eligible for) the necessary digital certificates to access the Integrated Cargo System (ICS).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Customs Tariff Act, valuation rules, Free Trade Agreements, and DAFF biosecurity requirements.
  • Educational Foundation: Completion of the Advanced Diploma of International Freight Forwarding and Customs Broking (or equivalent recognized bridging courses).
  • Highly Regarded (Advantageous):

    • Forklift Operation: The ability to drive a forklift (a valid LF license is a distinct advantage) to assist with hands-on operational needs when required.
    • Software Experience: Familiarity with industry-standard logistics and customs software and Tradewindow
