Job Purpose:

Responsible for the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and security of inventory. Supervising staff while maintaining a safe and efficient facility. Provide effective communication with store(s) staff and customers.

Job Duties:

Ensures that the warehouse is open and ready to conduct business at the appropriate time on a daily basis

Controls all products arriving and leaving the warehouse, with proper documentation, to include: Receiving Reports, Delivery Orders, Pick Up Orders, Freight Bills, etc

Receive and sort ACE order

Responsible for safe, careful, organized storage of all products in the warehouse, with appropriate tagging.

Responsible for making sure that the warehouse tools, equipment, and forklifts are maintained on a regular basis

Keeping a log book and record of the servicing of all the company vehicles

Responsible for careful inspection of all items received at warehouse and notation of discrepancies or damage on freight bills

Schedule, train, and oversee a crew of employees for warehouse duties

Train and monitor forklift trained employees to perform loading and off loading of merchandise

Assists manager in retrieving merchandise to stock the sales floor

Assists in set-up of special events

Performs other duties as needed

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse

Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently

Unload and load trucks in a safe manner

Ensures all inbound merchandise is received per store procedures. Assists in the processing of all damage claims in a timely manner

Maintains organized and accurate files for all paperwork

Ensures that the warehouse tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained on a regular basis.

Resolves customer issues in a professional, friendly, and timely manner

Delegate daily workload among staff. Follow up to ensure completion.

Ensures adherence to safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model

Contributes to a team effort in pursuit of company goals

Performs other duties as needed.

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Skills & Qualifications:

High School degree, some college preferred

Possess a vast product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learn

Strong organizational skills

Knowledge of store policies and procedures

Ability to communicate, relates well, and directs the work of others

Ability to solve problems, work independently, and check accuracy

Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus

Excellent communications skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

Ability to be accommodating when special customer needs arise

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for an extended period of time

Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth

Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls

Must be able to reach with hands and arms

Must be able to talk and hear

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to climb stairs

Must be able to climb ladders
