Customer Service Specialist
Successful and growing global importer and food manufacturer headquartered in the Mohawk Valley is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to assist the Sales and Logistics teams with managing sales orders from initial receipt & confirmation through to shipment and/or delivery of goods to customers. As a key member of the Customer Service Team, this role will foster relationships internally with sales, accounting, and warehouse teams, as well as externally with freight partners and customers. Typical duties include confirming new order details such as price, packaging, and availability timing; assisting with the coordination of inbound and outbound freight schedules; invoicing shipped orders and assisting accounts receivable; and supporting customer needs with prompt and friendly communications.
This position requires the ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate details in order to provide timely and accurate service to our customers. This role is a key position in our daily business and reports to the Sales Support Supervisor.
Desired experience and skills include:
· Superb organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint)
· Experience in a food manufacturing environment
· Experience serving customers and the various departments involved in delivering product to a customer’s facility
· Experience managing schedules and interacting with freight carriers
Requirements:
· Willing to work full time 40 hours/week
· High school diploma or equivalent
