Company Description: Baisch & Skinner is a wholesale floral distributor based in St. Louis, MO with seven branch store locations throughout the Midwest. Importers of fresh cut flowers, permanent botanicals, decoratives, glassware, and floral supplies, Baisch & Skinner is a business-to-business distributor that serves the floral, design, and hospitality industries.
Overview:
The Customer Service Representative acts as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about products and services through various communication channels like phone, email and in person sales support, with the goal of maintaining high customer satisfaction and building positive relationships in support of the company brand.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist customers with in-store purchases, including locating products, answering questions and creating invoices.
· Pull, pack, prepare and bill orders for shipping on daily delivery routes.
· Service new and established customer accounts by assisting the sales team as needed.
· Develop and maintain current product knowledge
· Always maintain a positive attitude with customers while addressing their needs.
· Upkeep of the showroom to include displays, restocking merchandise, and general cleaning.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales work preferred
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
· Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
· Demonstrated customer service focus, with professional demeanor and appearance
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Capable of working independently and in a team environment
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
Requires extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and reaching to check freight, stack boxes, and label.
Extended hours during busy seasons.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
