Our client, a leading global freight forwarding and logistics MNC, is seeking a commercially driven and dynamic Country Manager to lead their Thailand operations. This leadership role will oversee key functions including airfreight, ocean freight, sales, and customer service, ensuring strategic alignment with regional and global objectives. The ideal candidate will drive sustainable growth through operational excellence, strategic partnerships, market analysis, and team development, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for overseeing business operations across airfreight, ocean, sales, customer service, and supporting gateway requirements.
•Work closely with regional and global teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution of business plans.
•Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals and overall direction for sustainable growth.
•Set and monitor budgets, targets, and objectives to drive performance improvement within the branch.
•Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and developing costs savings initiatives and ensure timely execution.
•Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key logistics stakeholders, such as customers, agents, airlines, and vendors.
•Analyze diverse data sources to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities.
•Collect market trend information with actionable recommendations.
•Manage the selling & negotiate strategy, tender, quotation, proposals, and commercial agreements.
•Ensure all operations and SOPs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
•Manage and develop a strong team through leadership, coaching and motivation.
•Any other tasks assigned by Management.
Job Descriptions:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrable excellence in AFR processes and operations
Proven experience in regional development and management, as well as leading sales efforts.
Strong understanding of air, ocean, transport and customs operations, sales strategy, and vendor/carrier management.
Experience in managing P&L and achieving operational and financial goals.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance in air and ocean freight operations.
Proficiency in logistics management, CRM software, and data analytics tools.
