Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Duties
Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Navigate routes efficiently while maintaining schedules for deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at loading/unloading sites.
Skills
Proficient in truck driving with experience in route driving and manual transmission operation.
Familiarity with operating forklifts for loading and unloading cargo.
Ability to drive various types of trucks, including those equipped with refrigerated trailers or tankers.
Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
