Mission of the role

The candidate will plan, coordinate, and monitor the entire logistics cycle from receipt, storage, transportation, and waste management (fixed assets, construction materials, and hotel items and equipment: textiles, flooring, cladding, lighting, etc.) in the hotels in Jamaica.

Responsibilities include:

Plan, coordinate, and monitor the preparation and implementation of the annual logistics plan (receiving facilities, storage, and transportation) for the construction works at hotels in the assigned country.

Plan and coordinate the application and follow-up of the logistics policy and manual (budget, receiving, storage, transportation, and supply chain system) for hotel works in Jamaica.

Execute the registration of all movements in warehouse contracts (incomings and outgoings).

Collaborate and follow up on the preparation of the logistics budget with the proposed expenses and investments for the year, facilitating decision-making for the assigned brands.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor inventory management (space allocation, rotation, slow-moving, par stock with maximum and minimum levels) and its state evolution (receiving, storage, transition, distribution, recycling).

Plan, coordinate, and monitor transportation management based on planned needs and incidents in consumption and/or construction operation.

Coordinate and follow up with purchasing regarding delivery forecasts (volume, delivery dates) for coordinating reception and storage.

Coordinate and follow up with business stakeholders regarding inventory and transportation needs and incidents one month in advance for everything related to the construction warehouse.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor the follow-up of more specific products and their storage management according to their characteristics and available operational centers.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor the traceability of information between service orders and supplier invoices (configuration changes, format, incidents, deliveries, defects), including their registration and issue resolution with the involved parties.

Facilitate the resolution of incidents due to stockouts, non-timely deliveries, or quality issues with reception and logistics according to agreed plans for the hotels in Jamaica.

Plan and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure the traceability and accuracy of logistics information at the hotels in Jamaica, considering the specificities of each business unit.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor the facilities, equipment, and vehicles for logistics operations to track their useful life and maintenance (preventive and reactive).

Qualification requirements:

Higher professional education. Additional training in Warehouse or Supply Chain is highly valued.

2 to 3 years of experience in international logistics, with construction business groups operating in multiple countries, from the perspective of a logistics center or final company, with 1 to 2 years of experience in budget and team management.

Knowledge: Logistics / Warehouse / Transportation / Supply Chain / Hotels / Construction.

Languages: English and Spanish.

IT Skills: Office tools (Advanced Excel) and management systems (logistics / finance).
