We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will utilize your own vehicle to manage deliveries, ensuring that all loads are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight across designated routes.
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Utilize various types of equipment including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and forklifts when necessary.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving or freight transportation.
Ability to perform load unloading tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the trucking industry.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
