Volunteer Car Driver – Patient Transport
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Volunteer Car Driver to join our team based in Leicester. As a volunteer, you will provide safe and reliable transportation for vulnerable patients to non‑emergency appointments, support them during their journeys and coordinate with dispatch teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive patients to non‑emergency appointments.
- Assist individuals in accessing vital hospital services.
- Coordinate with our dispatch teams for seamless operations.
- Foster positive relationships within the community.
- Enjoy autonomy of volunteering independently with supportive team backing.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
- Appropriate 4‑door vehicle (minimum).
- A friendly and empathetic demeanour.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., use of a smartphone).
- Alignment with the organisation’s values (collaborative, reliable, empowered, agile).
