Job OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers! In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) journeys, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about driving and logistics, this opportunity is perfect for you!DutiesOperate tractor-trailers with a valid CDL A license across diverse routes, including OTR driving routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.Safely load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklift equipment, or specialized trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.Transport a variety of cargo types, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, freight requiring tanker or flatbed configurations.Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules.Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and prevent breakdowns during long-haul trips.Document all deliveries accurately, including load & unload procedures, delivery receipts, and logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries while maintaining a professional attitude on the road.SkillsValid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations including FMCSA, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols.Proven experience in delivery driving with a focus on route driving and logistics cargo handling.Ability to operate various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks confidently.Skilled in manual handling techniques for loading/unloading freight safely and efficiently.Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips.Experience with freight management systems and documentation required for over-the-road transportation of hazardous or sensitive goods.Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a real impact!
