Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to transport freight. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and handling logistics cargo efficiently across over-the-road routes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Drive local routes, delivering freight such as mulch, topsoil, or other materials to various locations.
- Load and unload freight using truck loading equipment while ensuring cargo safety and security.
- Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and handle manual loading/unloading processes.
- Experience with flat bed, walking floor, and dump trucks.
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
