You need to have 2 years of experience and be 25yrs and older. Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this role, you’ll operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift-equipped vehicles. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, safe load handling, and excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity
- Drive a variety of vehicle types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods promptly
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for compliance and operational purposes
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
- Experience handling various freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or heavy equipment like dump trucks and forklifts
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling, vehicle maintenance checks, and road safety regulations
- Ability to navigate using GPS or route planning tools effectively in diverse geographic areas
- Physical capability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts; must be able to lift heavy items when necessary
