Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks with manual transmission across designated routes.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker contents.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
- Deliver freight promptly to various destinations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs for hours of service, load manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during trips.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license; familiarity with manual transmission preferred.
- Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and load & unload processes.
- Ability to drive safely over long distances while managing route driving responsibilities.
- Skilled in using forklifts for loading/unloading cargo when necessary.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation compliance.
