A Code 14 Driver is currently sought after by a well-established printing company, located in Cape Town.
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with integrity who is willing to travel long distances and join our team.
Job Responsibilities
Transportation of Goods: Safely transport goods, products, or passengers to designated destinations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that the vehicle is regularly checked for maintenance and proper functioning, reporting any issues or repairs needed.
Adherence to Traffic Laws: Follow all road safety and traffic regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods or products, ensuring they are secured properly during transport.
Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes, using GPS or maps to avoid delays and deliver on time.
Record Keeping: Maintain delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and any other necessary documentation.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring goods or passengers are delivered in a courteous and professional manner.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations, including health and safety standards.
Required Skills
Valid Code 14 Driver’s License (with PDP).
Good knowledge of road safety and traffic laws.
Ability to drive a variety of vehicles (light trucks, delivery vehicles).
Strong communication skills.
Physically fit to handle the loading and unloading of goods.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is beneficial.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Previous experience as a Code 14 driver or in a similar role.
Familiarity with GPS systems or map reading for efficient route planning.
