Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Aggregates and Equipment across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of trailers. If you have experience with manual transmissions, Transfer and Super Dump we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Operate trucks equipped with manual transmissions, tractor-trailers, and other types of freight vehicles.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delivery issues.
Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
Follow designated routes for delivery while being flexible to adapt to changes in scheduling or routes.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience driving various types of trucks including flatbeds, dump trucks, and delivery vehicles.
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is highly preferred.
Ability to load and unload cargo safely; experience with freight handling is a plus.
Strong understanding of route driving principles and logistics operations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings as mandated by company policy.
