Job Overview
Belger is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating variety of trucks as well as fork lift certification. Responsibilities include loading and transporting freight safely and efficiently as designated by your work order while adhering to all State and Federal laws and company policies.
Duties
Operate and drive different types of trucks and fork lifts.
Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel usage.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and exterior.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Ability to load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment.
Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.
Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds unassisted.
Pay rate is based on currently bargained pay scale. Benefits offered are union health, welfare and pension benefits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.75 – $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
