Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks, including but not limited to dump trucks, side dumps, and belly dumps trailers.
Duties
Safely operate assigned trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo information.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
Assist in the maintenance of vehicles by reporting any mechanical issues or necessary repairs.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as forklifts, dump trucks, side dumps, and belly dump trailers is preferred.
Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and freight handling.
Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of local roadways.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
