GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The sales and distribution location for this position is in Norcross, GA, for a multi-location wholesale distributor. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting fright between our Atlanta warehouse to our headquarters location in Nashville, TN.
SCHEDULE OPTIONS
We are looking for 2 drivers to each take one of the scheduling options below:
Schedule A: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 3:00 PM- 2:30 AM, or until the job is complete.
OR
Schedule B: Tuesday & Thursday 3:00 PM- 2:30 AM, or until the job is complete.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our shuttle drivers are responsible for the transfer of freight between multiple Athens divisions. Will operate trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR)—the combined weight of the vehicle, passengers, and cargo up to 80,000 pounds or less.
· Operate commercial motor vehicle for the bulk of the shift
· Load and unload cargo when required utilizing powered industrial equipment
· Report any incidents they encounter on the road to supervisor
· Follow all applicable traffic laws
· Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
· Keep their truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order
· Handle paperwork, such as bill of ladings and other miscellanies freight
documents
· Maintain a Driver’s Log as required by the DOT utilizing an electronic logging
device
· Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor / Leadership
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
· High School diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of OTR experience
preferred
· Ability to possess and maintain a Class A CDL
· Possess and maintain a DOT Medical Card
· Ability to operate a power or manual pallet jack
· Ability to operate a sit-down or stand-up forklift
· Commitment to excellent customer service

· Ability to work the night shift

· Able to operate powered industrial equipment when needed
· Ability to operate a CMV for long periods at a time
· Ability to safely enter and exit CMV and accompanying trailer
