Port Drayage Driver for the terminals at the port of los angeles and long beach. Day shift and night shift openings are available. A clean driving record is required. You will be required to have a drug test before you begin. Class A driver license and TWIC are required. Mininum 2 years of Class A driving experience needed.
Summary
As a Class A Port Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight to and from designated locations while adhering to all regulations and safety protocols. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you will utilize your core skills in truck driving and commercial driving, along with your CDL A and TWIC Card, to ensure timely deliveries. Your premium skills in handling refrigerated trailers and flatbeds, combined with relevant experience in load and unload operations, will enhance our logistics efficiency. Responsibilities
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport freight safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state driving regulations, including maintaining a valid CDL A and TWIC Card.
Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes and schedules.
Adhere to safety protocols while driving and handling freight.
