We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle while ensuring compliance with all regulations and maintaining high standards of service. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers will be essential in meeting our clients’ diverse shipping needs.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a variety of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
Execute route driving assignments efficiently while adhering to scheduled timelines.
Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring the safe handling of all cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license and appropriate endorsements.
Proficiency in operating various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including loading/unloading techniques.
Ability to navigate routes efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges encountered during transport.
Familiarity with safety protocols related to transportation and freight handling.
