We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently using various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, tankers, and dump trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate different types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, tankers, tractor-trailers, and dump trucks.
Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours of service and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Handle loading and unloading of cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of freight.
Drive manual transmission vehicles as needed, demonstrating proficiency in various driving conditions.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving roles, particularly with roll-off trucks, tankers, or tractor-trailers.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
A clean driving record is preferred.
