Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and customer service, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles. This role requires a keen understanding of road regulations and the capability to handle diverse driving tasks, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods or passengers.
Duties
Safely operate assigned vehicles, including but not limited to tanker trucks, dump trucks, school buses, and tow trucks.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Transport freight or passengers to designated locations in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist in loading and unloading cargo when necessary, utilizing equipment such as forklifts if qualified.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a pleasant experience for passengers or clients.
Skills
Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Experience with tanker operations is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
Ability to drive various types of vehicles including limousines, yard jockeys, dump trucks, school buses, and tow trucks.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures is an asset.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries or pickups.
A valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
